Matt Smith: (16/04/97) A promising young keeper signed from Newcastle Benfield. Has started well.
Lee Martin: (11/04/89) A recent signing from Bedlington Terriers who includes Newcastle Benfield among his previous clubs.
Shaun Backhouse: A loyal servant of the club who has Northern league experience with Washington. A great shot stopper and one of the best and bravestkeepers in the Northern Alliance over the past few seasons.
Dan Rule: Very young but confident keeper who joined us last season from Wallsend Boys Club. A great prospect.
Defenders
George Phillipson: (30/10/94) Comfortable in defence or midfield. Signed from Sheffield Hallam.
Steven McCabe: (12/12/91) A recent signing who started out at Wallsend Boys Club and also can play in defence or midfield. Strong and quick with good distribution.
Mark Davison: (13/06/88) Returned from Whitley Bay. Fourth season with the club. No nonsense defender, good in the air and a great organiser.
Jordan Ray: (27/07/94) Young defender signed from sunday football. Jordan is quick and strong with good distribution. Now in his season season with us and a mainstay of the team. Previous clubs include Walker Central, Newcastle East End and Wallsend Boys Club
Michael Trodd: (13/03/95) Left back signed from sunday football team Wallsend Rising Sun.
Peter Scott: (11/01/91) Peter is a hard working and strong defender who gives his all for the side. Previous teams include Ponteland United and Cramlngton.
Alistair Stoddart: (16/12/91) Very quick and comfortable on the ball and a great reader of the game. Now in his second season with us after signing from Shankhouse and has settled in well. Can also play in midfield.
Ben Telford: (18/08/91) Sixth season with the club after signing from junior football and has improved each campaign. quick and strong, he loves to get forward and has scored some important goals.
Kye Waters: (20/05/91) A local lad who signed for the Stan from Walker Central who is strong and quick.
Joe Wear: (01/10/82) A very experienced former Hartlepool and Blyth Spartans player who is club captain. Strong on the ground, great in the tackle and shows tremendous composure on the ball.
Dean Deagle: Ex-Hull City youth and reserve team player, who made a number of appearances for Ashington. Spent a couple of seasons with Shankhouse in the Northern Alliance and always impressed when playing against us.

Midfielders
Ryan Bailey: (08/05/94) Joined us from North Shields Athletic. Very comfortable on the ball with a good passing range and battling qualities. Plays with an old head on young shoulders.
Lewis Burns: (09/06/94) Former England schoolboy who usually plays wide on either side. Quick, hard working and has scored some vital goals. Last seasons player of the year. Previous clubs include Cowdenbeath, Carlisle United, Gretna and Whitley Bay.
Christian Carrasquillo: (04/11/93) Signed after moving from the USA. Can play on either wing.
Joe Fulcher: (07/05/82) Slotted straight back into the club after 2 years away due to work commitments..
Gary Dixon: (1988) Left sided player who is also at home in the middle. A box to box player with great energy levels who weighs in with his share of goals. Formerly of Jarrow Roofing.
Dean Imray: (13/12/91) Signed from Walker Central, Dean is a solid midfielder and scores goals.
Mark Waite: (15/10/90) A good touch and a great range of passing. Previous clubs include Doncaster Rovers and Barnsley.
Mikel Thompson: (09/09/95) Recent Signing. wide player and loves to beat his man.
Brian Dodsworth: In his second spell with the club, a versatile player who does a great job in a number of positions. An important member of Newcastle Benfields 2008-09 double winning side; also played for Bedlington Terriers and Ryton and Crawcrook Albion.
Graeme Cairns: (1987) In his second season with us after signing from West Allotment Celtic and previously with Team Northumbria. Cairnsy added some steel to the middle of the park with his tough tackling and also a great passer of the ball.
Kevin Carr: Can play on either flank or down the middle. Quick, direct and one of the best strikers of the ball at the club. A great finisher who has scored some quality goals.
Gianpaolo Campania: Moved from Italy where he played at a good level. Technically very good and can play across midfield. If he can handle the physical side of the English gamethen he will be a great addition to the squad.
Andrew Weeks: A loyal former servant of the club. Has a great range of passing, is good in the tackle and is a free kick specialist.

Strikers
Matty Hayton: (26/03/90): A pacey forward who terrorises defenders. Signed from Walker Central.
Richie Hoggins: (26/10/91) The ultimate utility man who will do a job in almost any position including a few appearances as a goalkeeper.
Adam Rowntree: (18/04/89) Powerful forward with football league experience with Boston United. Joined us last season after a spell in Australia. Previous clubs also include Wallsend Boys Club, Brigg, Blyth Spartans and Dulwich Hill.
Gary (Legend) Yates: (03/08/83) The clubs longest serving player, who has scored countless goals for us over the past decade. Very hard working, gifted in the air and a tremendous club man all round.
Shane Jones: (03/02/97) An intelligent player who can play in almost any attacking position.
Sam Grieveson: (06/07/92) Ex Norwich City youth goalkeeper and Walker Central. Powerful forward who recovered from a serious injury during the season.
Jonathan Wright: Prolific goal scorer for the club who like a bomerang keeps returning. Ex-Hibs youth player who briefly went to West Auckland a couple of years ago and Jarrow Roofing at the beginning of last season.
Lee Johnson: A naturally gifted player with superb awareness and touch. Equally at home scoring goals or setting them up for others.Previously with team Northumbria and Bedlington Terriers.
Lee Waugh: Young forward signed from Morpeth Town.Lee is a strong, hard working player with a good touch and is a good finisher.
Celso Anjos: Very quick, direct player who can operate out wide or through the middle. A good squad addition.
