When Raman the Great son of India,

Observed Raman effect in scattering of light,

That’s why this red letter day is our national science day,

When nation salutes Sir, Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman bright.

That there is a wave length change,

Of blue colour incident monochromaticlight,

To brilliant green colour bright,

When it passes through pure liquid-glycerine-transparent.

This colourchange phenomenon-celebrated,

Was called the Raman Effect by team bright,

Whichshowed chemistry signature/fingerprints,

Of involved molecule to world with pride,

Raman spectroscopywas the technique applied,

Now Fondly world labs across use,

Thistechnique toidentify and analyse,

Molecules in cells and tissues of various life,

And predict on different planets a possibility of life.
