All She Heard About Science
All she heard
He was moon
She used to listen
With patience
This game of listening
Was going on
In game there were two chits
In the lottery pot
In one chit it was written "say"
In other chit it was written "listen"
It was destiny
Every time chit was picked
It was written "listen"
She kept listening
She listened—listened,
She listened to prayers,
She listened to scientific,
Discovery history.
She understood game,
Of speaking listening,
Is not automatic,
She was surprised how,
Come she has to,
listen every time,
She never knew listening
Could lead to knew understanding,
She made listening,
Her destiny, opportunity.
She soon realised,
It is upon reflection,
That one really understand,
And assimilate lessons,
of science,
She gave her self time,
To reflect,
And look at situation,
And learnt various,
Perspectives,
She understood Archimedes,
Eurotic moments in public,
Bath and became great scientist,
She was influenced by,
By atomic physicist,
Earnest Rutherford,
She had revolutionary idea,
She became Astronomer,
Cecilia Payne(1900-1979) who
Discovered,
The composition of Sun,
She was a committed scientist,
And proposed stars were,
Composed of hydrogen and helium.
She listened to talk,
Of Newton being hit,
On his head with one apple,
She came to know.
That these moments,
Of discovery happened,
When these great,
Scientist were peacefully,
Reflecting,
She followed them
She learnt life lessons
She retrospected,
Her moment of reflection,
in mathematics,
Made her theoretical physicist,
Emmy Noether great!
Who contributed to,
Abstract algebra.
She was permitted to,
listen scientific talks,
Who make greatest discoveries,
She was permitted to,
-Read journals,
She was allowed to assist,
in lab Science,
That gave her hot,
Insight into creative minds,
She learnt lot about great,
Scientific deals,
She came to know,
There is no limit,
To opportunity,
To learn at any time,
She discovered the,
Structure of DNA and,
She became Rosalind Franklin
This game kept going,
She never got chit,
From pot written"speak"
She felt suffocated,
She felt strongly about,
Her scientific findings,
For the composition of Sun,
About abstract algebra,
About structure of DNA,
But she should be allowed,
to" speak" her opinion,
She wished her arguments,
In her research,
Field be respected,
But alas !no way!
But still she ignored,
And spent her life peacefully.
It seemed,
She had stitched,
Her nose and ears,
Her throat was chocked.
When ever some gentle person,
Requested her please please"speak"
"Explain"
