Our Story

The world is at war. Sentinels and Bio-Sentinels, controlled by the Therizo corporation and the fanatical Purifiers, control the East Coast of the United States. Apocalypse’s army spreads from the West. Safe havens are being lost everywhere, while the rest of the world becomes a battleground. The memory of peace becomes more faded every day, while more and more ordinary humans and mutants become casualties of the war.

Only one team of X-Men remain to stand against the forces of chaos to try to restore peace, but an attack led by an old ally has destroyed their base and forced them to go on the run. The team is now nomadic, searching through ruined cities for food and shelter while trying to maintain the resistance. Will you join them in their struggle to survive, and the desperate search for peace?

Welcome to Dark Horizons X-Men RPG, a play-by-email X-Men RPG for original characters. Join in the fight for survival in a dangerous time for mutants and humans alike.

This RPG is inspired by Days of Future Past and the Age of Apocalypse storylines, with several years of play to expand on the original concepts. Wolverine, Jean Grey, and the rest of the original X-Men are dead, captured, or missing - it’s up to this next team of heroes to stand against the darkness alone.
