Powers: Fireworks - Seth can create a variety of fireworks that can go from a steady stream from his hands or feet to launching an explosive blast from 2 M diameter to 500 M diameter.  The heat of streams of fireworks can get up to 2,000F.   The burst heat is about half that at the center and dissipates as it goes out, but like most explosions they do cause knockback and a loud explosion that can affect hearing.  The light given off by these attacks are very bright and could temporarily blind someone or permanently if they it was too close to the eyes and they were not shielded.  The attacks do cause residual smoke that is easily dissipated with a good breeze. If the battle was in a building,  the smoke could hamper friend and foe alike.  He can do simple fireworks, like shooting a flare up or having sparklers  at his fingertip for light.

'Big boom': Much like the flash of light and the loud boom in the sky, Seth go to defensive maneuver is to cause this favorite of fireworks about him. It does not do any actual physical damage.  He gives off a bright flash and that can affect someone’s vision and the sound can affect hearing of the people close by him.  The pure force of the explosion can send back a normal sized person that was close by him about twenty feet away. Lighter things will fly further and larger/more dense things will be less affected.

Flight: The propulsion from the fireworks from his feet, can make him fly up to about 60 MPH.  He can carry up to one normal-sized person, but not for too long as he does not have super strength.  THe heavier his load, the slower his flight will become.  This flight does cause a trail of fireworks behind him and leaves a thick trail of smoke.

Smoke Cloud:  Instead of Heat, Seth can issues just issues out a thick smoky phosphorous about him, and he can project it out about fifty feet away from him.  Wind  and a good filtration system can dissipate this cloud pretty easily.  Being caught in the cloud will cause a normal person to cough heavily, make it hard to see, and affect the sense of smell.  Long extended exposure could cause unconsciousness, due to the lack of oxygen.

Immune to bright lights and smoke/chemical clouds :  Seth tinted eyes allow him to not be blinded by bright lights. His lungs have adapted so he can breath in his own smoke and other natural and created chemical clouds. It also makes him immune to the effects of tobacco and other inhaled drugs.

Heat Resistant: Seth’s powers generate a significant amount of heat, but he is not negatively impacted by the heat, light, or smoke generated by his own powers.  He is not completely fireproof, but normal fire does not burn him, and he can withstand several times the heat a normal human can.

Power Limitations: Bad night vision:  The tint to his eyes make is harder to see thing when there is a lack of light.

Body odor : His body always has a smell of sulphur and phosphorous about him.   This odor is more intense right after him using his power, but will die to a light odor a couple hours afterwards.

Need for Oxygen : Seth’s powers need oxygen to be used.  He can not use them submerged under water or in the vacuum of space.  His own smoke cloud can make it so he can not use his firework abilities, if the smoke gets thick enough.

Flight scorches the ground under him:  Taking off and landing can burn the ground he is standing on.   Also he has to be careful that no his by his feet when he takes off or they could get burned.

Hobbies and Interests:  Seth loves to ride horses.  He is an avid equestrian and  can typically ride most any horse. Seth can play the acoustic guitar pretty well and he has a good singing voice. He is also a great grill cook.   He loves to grill and cook his cook on an open fire.

Background: Seth was born in Alpine Texas to  a large family who owns a very large area of ranchlands.   They were pretty prosperous with their cattle business.   They mostly tried to ignore the goings on in the world and tried to concentrate on their business. Luke was human who fell in love with a pretty woman, by the name of Sarah.  He later found out that she was a mutant that could create and spray pure water from her hands.   It was not a powerful spray, but it helped with the small farm next to their lands and watering the pastures the cattle needed, so they were never affected by droughts that often affected West Texas.

They had four strong healthy children in where two of them turned out to be mutants, like their mother.  Sarah could manipulate her voice to mimic sounds to other people's voices. Then came Seth, who found out he was a pyrotechnic.   They discovered his mutant ability when he started to smell odd.  Later, he was almost bite by a rattler, he shot out a stream of fireworks and fired the snake. Thier whole family was fluent in Spanish  and English as their land was fairly close to the Mexican border, so most of their hands were hispanic.

As Seth practiced his abilities on the huge ranchlands, no one really noticed him, except for a few ranch hands that discovered him.   Most stayed on because it was a good job and they were paid well, but some left and reported the mutants in hopes of some rewards.   Luckily for the Mathews, they were good friends with the sheriff and he glossed most of the reports.

Seth also was able to get his education and was taken under the wing of a local veterinarian where Seth learned to treat most animals, but specialized in large animals, like horses and cattle.

When the virus hit, it wiped out most of the ranch hands, Seth’s brothers and father.  It made it hard to keep the ranch and run it.  A group of looter eventually found them, who were mostly mutants.   They took the ranch by force, killing Seth’s mother and capturing his sister. The hands were slaughtered as well.   Seth got away, with a gunshot wound, but he was able to fly away.   He was treated by a doctor friend, in a neighboring town.  He killed a few of the marauders that took over his family’s land.  They did not stay, as they took what they wanted and slaughtered what cows they could carry.
