Other Relatives: Brother, Gregory Farrow, 35, plus his wife and children. Grace does not know the ultimate fate of her family, but believes they are alive.
Powers: Size control. Grace can increase her own size to be three stories high, or shrink to as small as three inches high. Her strength level adjusts proportionately to her size.
Power Limitations: The size change is maintained subconsciously, she will stay her current size if she loses consciousness for any reason. Objects she is touching or wearing do not change with her. She was able to use her social and legal contacts to acquire unstable molecule clothing, so she could avoid certain embarrassing situations.
Hobbies and Interests: Grace is an avid tennis player, a wine connoisseur, is widely read and traveled, and speaks several languages, some more fluently than others. She maintains her fluency by reading in those languages. She was heavily into kickboxing as a way to keep in shape. She is a cat person and is in the habit of
taking in strays and finding them homes.
Background: Grace grew up in one of the best families in New York State, attended private school, and went on to the Ivy League for higher education. She always worked hard and was a credit to her family, but that meant little to her parents when she came out to them. Their reaction created a rift between them, and for a long time Grace only stayed in contact with her older brother, who had figured it out years before and didn’t care.Grace went into environmental and corporate law, defending corporations like the one her father ran when they were sued over the environmental damage they’d allegedly done. Grace was good at her job and saved her clients millions of dollars, but it did nothing to earn her parents’ respect back.Things were difficult for mutants, but as in most situations, money could smooth the road for her and cushion her from the worst of anti-mutant sentiment. After a while it became difficult to get into a courtroom, but she found a way around that as well. Her longtime girlfriend Alyssa kept trying to convince Grace to do something about the mutant situation, to fight back, but Grace was slow to act. She believed that there were lawful solutions to the situation. She was planning to running for office, to make a difference that way, when Alyssa disappeared. After a frantic search, using all her contacts and influence, Grace learned that Alyssa had been taken to a camp and killed, before Grace could do anything about it.Her tragedy brought her back into her parents’ good graces, but she couldn’t care less. She became almost robotic, meeting the requirements of each day while she wrestled with her grief, her anger… and her guilt.
She took a leave of absence from her law firm and rented a house in the middle of nowhere in New Mexico. When things got really bad with Therizo, then Apocalypse, she was forced to leave. She took any refugees she met under her wing, and eventually they joined the X-Men’s new island community.
Personality: Grace is poised, resolute, believes in the law as a tool, and is something of a control freak. She calls herself egalitarian, but there is definitely something of an elitist streak in her. She thinks less of people who don’t live up to their full potential. She has been humbled somewhat by the more recent events of her life. It's important to her to act well bred and polite, no matter what the situation.
