Prime Sentinel

Sentinel Diagnostics: Prime SentinelSentinels are humanoid robots with very advanced artificial intelligence.  The version most well-known, and feared by the general mutant population, are designated as Prime Sentinels, or more commonly, just Sentinels.  They stand about three stories tall, are heavily armored, and at least one can be found in ever major city in the United States.The Prime Sentinel is used most often in accordance with the US Army. When Sentinels go out on mission, they are often followed or met by human support, which carry control collars and provide transport to the nearest detainment camp once the mutant targets are defeated.  The Soldiers seldom involves itself directly with the conflict, unless directed to by the Sentinel.  The location of the plants which produce parts for Sentinels, and the ones that assemble the final products, are classified.  Capabilities:All Prime Sentinels are engineered for flight, and are capable of reaching speeds of up to Mach 1, just breaking the sound barrier.  They also are networked with other Sentinels via satellite, and are able to call for assistance when needed.In preparation for the strike against Genosha, and keeping such dangerous mutants as Magneto in mind, Sentinels were mainly constructed of armor-grade plastics and ceramics.  Any metal parts used are non-ferrous (i.e., unaffected by magnets) such as copper.  The armor is heavy-grade, making them nearly for most individual mutants to take down alone, downgraded to merely 'very difficult' in groups.  Offensive weaponry can vary according to the 'make' of the Sentinel, as well as the region itprotects.  Energy beams shot from the Sentinels' palms are standard, and used when the directive is to kill rather than capture. Common weapons used for capture include various gases, released from canisters, and a variation on the energy beams designed to incapacitate with an electric shock. Tentacle-like metal prehensiles can also be used in aiding the capture of mutants.

They have massive strength, as might be expected from their size.  What they have in strength and durability is what they lack in maneuverability, particularly on the ground.  Though their AI is very advanced, they lack awareness, and are limited to following their programming.
