Does light need a medium?

In this task we will examine how mechanical waves need a medium using sound waves and then consider if light needs a medium.

You need to take observations of the sound, with the lid off, the lid on and then when the chamber is evacuated.

Does changing the frequency effect tis experiment? Explain.

Shine a laser through the chamber before and after it is evacuated, does less air make a difference?
