By the end of the lesson you will be able to explain how x-rays are used to make images of the body, know what type of x-rays make better images and how the x-rays are produced

X-rays are able to penetrate tissue bit not bone. An X-ray image is a 'shadow' of the bone as the X-rays are absorbed.
