L4 - Doppler shift

OUTCOME

By the end of the lesson you will be able to recognise how a moving source of sound will result in the Doppler effect and be able to describe how Doppler effects are used in ultrasound

The Doppler effect results in wavefronts being compressed as a sound source moves toward the observer and the waves lengths being stretched as the source moves away from the observer
