Use the CRO to examine the trace of the inner and outer coil. Put the outer on input A and the inner on input B. Make some observations. How does the iron core effect the peak of the Output trace.
On the WS provided, draw the dual traces, carefully labelling the inner and outer solenoid, which one is the input , as well as the Volts per divisions.
Do this for the input on the inner core as well as the outer core.
Use the AC power sources on 4V. Connect the 4 V to the outer solenoid. Use the multimeter on the AC voltage settings
How does the transformer step up or step down the voltage?
