ARTIST STATEMENT

DESCRIBE

The subject of my drawing is me, because it's a self portrait. The setting is in front of a window in the art room. I used pencils to create this art. I used 2H, HB, 2B, and 4B. I chose to draw a self portrait because it was the assignment.

ANALYZE

I used the gridding technique to create this drawing. The project didn't really evolve at all.

INTERPRET

This artwork has no story, its just a self portrait. This project relates to my life because it is a drawing of me, and also i am wearing my jacket that I wear every single day in it. I think that this artwork could be better if you couldn't see the grid lines. I drew them as lightly as possible, but you can still see them.
