ARTIST STATEMENT

DESCRIBE

This is my art project inspired by Andy Warhol. The subject is pop art strawberries, and there is no setting. I made this using colored pencils. I chose to draw this because i wanted to do something Andy Warhol inspired, and I thought I could do a fruit because he drew pop art strawberries.

ANALYZE

I didn't really use any specific technique, but i did use repetition because the strawberry appears 4 times in different colors. The project did not evolve at all while I was creating it.

INTERPRET

This artwork has no meaning or story, and it relates to my life because I love strawberry smoothies, and also because Andy Warhol was my favorite artist out of the ones we learned about. I think this artwork could be stronger if I had more time to work on it, because it was very rushed.
