ARTIST STATEMENT

INTERPRET

The story of this is that this pacman frog is chillin on a lilly pad, looking for flies to eat. This relates to my life because frogs are my favorite animal, and if it weren’t for the fact that they eat bugs I would definitely have a pacman frog as a pet.

DESCRIBE MATERIALS

This piece was made with Sculpey and acrylic paint. I first used the Sculpey to form the shape of the frog, and then I baked it. once it cooled down, I then painted it with acrylic paints to give it the pattern that paceman frogs have.

DESCRIBE PROCESS

For this piece I focused on color, with the green and the colors of the spots, as well as shape. This project did not evolve throughout the process. My next steps would be to add more detail in the painting.
