Overview:
ReadWriteThink promotes the growth of reading and writing skills through the use of interactive activities, games, lessons, printables, and even an app. There are four main sections that the site is organized into, including Classroom Resources, Professional Development, Videos, and Parent & Afterschool Resources. There are hundreds of unit and lessons plans and activities to choose from. Teachers are able to search by grade level, subject, and learning objective. The literacy calendar makes it easy to find important events. Although the main focus of ReadWriteThink is langauge arts, there are materials available for Math, Science, History, and Life Skills. If students access ReadWriteThink through the downloaded app, they do not have to have access to the internet. All of the curriculum available has been reviewed by at least two literacy eduactors, is classroom-tested, and evidence-based.
