Overview:
Quizlet is a great online program that allows students to review previously taught concepts! Teachers can create their own sets of study materials or they can use an already created set. They then choose the style that will be used to review the material. Styles include live, flashcards, learn, spell, test, match, or gravity.
In the "Live" style, students collaborate with others to complete a game. After signing in using the code, students are randomly grouped together in teams. All of the answers that will be used throughout the game are split up throughout all members of the group. A question is asked to the group. Students work together to find the correct answer found on one of the teammate's screens!
The "Flashcard" style is very similar to hands-on flashcards where students see one side of the card and try to determine the answer on the other side of the card.
The "Learn" style is similar to a multiple-choice online quiz.
In the "Spell" style, the word is spoken aloud and the student types the spelling of the word that was said.
With the "Test" style, the questions are auto-generated with a mixture of written responses, multiple choice, and true-or-false answer options.
The "Match" style has the student pair up correct words or mixtures of words, as well as images.
The "Gravity" style is a fun game that has the student type out the word that is on the asteroid that is coming towards a planet.
