Overview:
Loom allows you to make recordings with your screen or camera. This is ideal for recording a lesson for students to watch in small groups or refer back to at a later time, explain directions for a project or explain how to use a new tool, and for sharing information with families, such as the strategy you are using in Math class. You can invite colleagues to the same workspace so everyone can easily contribute, edit, and share recordings. When creating your account, you can choose to access Loom from your desktop or from the Chrome extension. Both are free and offer the same features! You can choose to record just your screen, just using your camera, or both. There is a 3 second countdown before Loom starts recording. During the recording you can pause, resume, cancel, or finish. After you are done recording, you can trim you video, adjust the video preferences, adjust the video speed, add a button with an embedded link, or create a thumbnail. When you are done editing your video, you can share it with the shareable link. Loom is a very user-friendly recording tool ideal for sharing information.
