Overview:
Lexia Core5 is a research-proven adaptive blended learning program to support and accelerate the development of literacy skills. This program is intended to provide equitable learning opportunities for all students in PreK - 5th Grade. Students build their foundational reading skills through personalized learning, focusing on six aspects of reading instruction, including phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, and structural analysis. After students' reading skills are assessed, Lexia Core5 provides tailored recommendations to the teacher on ways to best support each individual student. Students are able to access Lexia Core5 from school or at home, working on activities and unlocking levels as they progress. Students are able to monitor their own progress and choose which personalized activities they work on each time they log in. After each level, students enter an adaptive placement experience, which provides data for teachers to use to further differentiate instruction. Teachers can access the program's data at any time to monitor students' progress, see each student's diagnostic profile, and identify skill development in various areas. Lexia Core5 also provides offline resources that teachers can use with individuals, within small groups, or during whole class instruction.
