NitroType is an engaging website designed to teach users how to type quickly with speed and accuracy. Players can register for free or play as a guest. They can choose to play against each other or play against random players. Each player has their own racecar that they move by typing the sentences that are shown at the bottom of their screen. The more quickly and accurately they type, the quicker their car goes. Each player earns virtual money based on how quickly their racecar made it to the finish line. Players can use this virtual money to purchase different car styles on the website. Players also move up levels as their typing improves. Nitrotype is a great online game to get students excited about learning how to type.
