Overview:
ReadWorks offers content, curriculum, and tools focusing on reading comprehension instruction for free! ReadWorks allows every lesson to be assigned to individual students to be completed online or offline, printed out, or presented to the class. This allows the teacher to easily differentiate instruction by text complexity or interest level. The Boost, Challenge, and ELL-friendly texts allow for further differentiation. Teachers can search for resources by topic, grade level, or content type. ReadWorks makes it easy to establish a 10-15 minute daily reading routine with the Article-A-Day sets. Paired Texts can be assigned for students to gain different perspectives on the same topic. Students are able to personalize how they interact with the content by changing the text size, annotating highlighted sections, viewing passages and questions side-by-side, using the audio narration feature, and even creating their own reading lists! It is easy to track students' progress and provide feedback by assigning multiple-choice, short-answer, and open-response questions, or with vocabulary activities.
