Overview:

Common Core State Standards Initiative is a website that provides all of the state's standards for each subject. Teachers can go to the website to read the standards, find resources, understand how Common Core was created, find frequently asked questions, and so much more! This is a great site to bookmark and go to frequently. The Common Core website is very helpful when planning an upcoming module or assessment so that you have a clear understanding of what the standard requires.

The standards outline what a student should know and be able to do at the end of each grade. They were created to ensure that all students graduate from high school with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in college, career, and life, regardless of where they live.
