Overview:

GoGuardian is an incredible program that allows you to monitor students' online activity. There are so many features that GoGuardian offers to support students with staying safe and on task while using online tools and programs. You have a separate section for each class that you teach, but you can have multiple classes open simultaneously. You can choose the length of time that you would like that class's section to be open on GoGuardian, but you can always add or shorten the length of time. While the section is open, you are able to see each students' screen and what they are currently looking at. You can message students privately or send out class announcements. The class announcements will pop up on each student's screen and the student must click out of the announcement in order to continue working on their computer. You can choose to add scenes to the section, which means you either block specific websites or make it so students can only access specific websites that you have listed. As the instructor, you can also redirect students' screens to a specific website. When the session has ended on GoGuardian, you are sent a summary of students' online activity. GoGuardian is a great tool that allows the instructor to support students' learning in an online environment.
