Overview:

IXL is a website that offers thousands of standards-aligned practice questions, modules, and games for Math, Literacy, Science, Social studies, and Spanish! Students practice one skill at a time and earn points and ribbons when they get questions correct. Once a student reaches 100 points for a skill, they earn a stamp in their book, encouraging them to master other skills to earn virtual prizes! Students are able to jump around from topic to topic under their Recommendations section. audio support, handwriting recognition, and Spanish-language content makes the content accessible to more students. IXL provides class and individualized reports with item analysis, usage, and trouble spots. Students also receive feedback to help them continue to grow. Incorrect answers are explained thoroughly with written explanations and examples. If students need support, they can click on "Learn with an example" to see an example of a worked-out solution. There is also a 45-minute Diagnostic adaptive assessment tool. The results from this data and from skill practice provide a personalized Recommendations Wall for each student, listing future skills to practice. IXL is a great program to use as a station, during RTI, if students finish work early, or for extra practice when students are not in school.
