Growing Up in the Mirror

I'm scared of the girl in the mirror

I met her seventeen years ago

She follows my every movement

And where she comes from, who knows

Over the years, she has changed a lot

She is taller now, but still quite short

And although she frightens me,

I enjoy seeing her laugh and snort

I remember the days when she was a child

She used to stare and make strange faces

Actually, she hasn't stopped doing that

And she always appears in unexpected places

Watching her grow, she looks so mature

But I can't say the same for her personality

She still scares me, but I know her so well

Since when was the girl in the mirror actually me?

Umme Khan is a senior. She is not really scared of mirrors, but she also hopes that she doesn't end up working at a house of mirrors in the future.
