Dreaming of Stars

Yelling

So much darkness

So much of it too

It hurts my ears (the yelling)

Can I go curl up in the corner

And sit down with my cat

Listen to its purring

And fall asleep

Begging my brain to dream

And when I do I smile

I jump into the fantasy

A place of happiness and quiet

No more yelling

No more darkness

Only light
