The ocean eyes

That stare at me

Makes me wonder

Who it could be

Moonlit figure

Raven hair

Windswept clothing

With complexion fair

Voice of an angel

Soft and sweet

Stare of death

Tone of deceit

Shake of my body

Feeling of dread

The realization

Soon I’ll be dead

I run away

Into the night

One misstep

I’ll see the light

Down I tumble

To the pond below

Deep in the water

Forever I’ll go
