Editor's Letter

Heya, readers!

Welcome to the Spring 2022 issue of the Troubadour Literary and Arts Magazine. Creativity has become critical in capturing change throughout the past few transitory months of adapting to a “newer normal.” However, transformation-driven ambiguities and the complexities of life are not especially fresh; rather, they are characteristic of the human condition and, well, being a teenager. For these timeless yet timely reasons, a dichotomy in and of itself, we wanted to explore such themes through this year’s topic.

From stapling tens of posters around the school to absorbing each of the record eighty-seven submissions this year, it has been an absolute honor and privilege to help produce this publication. I want to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Gillespie, who is an incredible teacher and mentor, the uniquely bold and collaborative staff of the Troubadour, and everyone who thoughtfully crafted the pieces that compose this edition.

I hope you all enjoy viewing these inspired pieces of writing and art imbued with paradoxes, inconsistencies, and contradictions as much as we did.
