A BRIEF NOTE FROM THE EDITOR-IN-CHIEF:
Dear reader,
Welcome to the Spring 2019 edition of the North Penn High School Troubadour, a literary and artistic publication endeavor that you might remember from this fall or last spring. This issue is mostly comprised of poetry and photographs reflecting on the theme of fate, fortune, luck, chance, destiny. This magazine wouldn't be possible without the creative minds of the NPHS student body, nor would it get far without the work of the amazing Troubadour staff and our fantastic adviser, Mr. Gillespie. So I want to say thank you to everyone who submitted their work over the past two years, and to everyone who's been on the staff, past and present, and to Mr. Gillespie, and to everyone who's read this magazine these past three issues. It's been a heck of a ride, everybody. Thank you.
But enough of my editorializing (though it is my job, technically). Without further ado, I present you the Spring 2019 issue of North Penn's very own Troubadour.

The Butterfly Effect by Anonymous, Grade 10
On average, humans make around 35,000 decisions in just one day. With these 35,000 different decisions comes 35,000 different alternate realities each and everyday you decide to wake up, or not to. Every ordinary action ripples into events or emotions that set the foundation to your future. This is the phenomenon known as The Butterfly effect, and we have all experienced it. Coincidences build up to everything the chances of meeting the people in your life, are one in billion. The stranger you walk past at orientation, met at a football game, or pass on your way to class everyday, could become your best friend, enemy, or even find a way to break your heart.

Coin Flip by Jude Adham
Flip a coin, spin a dime.
See where that gets you
During this fleeting time.
Go ahead, wing it.
“Your life, not mine.”
Yet heed my advice:
Whatever you do,
Don’t roll those dice.
For when you do,
You pay the price.
