O gracious giver of bountiful light,
We dearly thank you for drawing away the night.
Without you the streets would not be teeming.
Bring about a fresh new day with glares of light beaming.
You give grace down to all those you illuminate,
With your glory and prowess, so innate.
Magnificent father, so grossly incandescent,
Bestow your light so that you may cast away the crescent,
And bear your fire so that the black fades to blue,
Once more, dear sun, so that I can live anew.
O magnanimous giver of bountiful life,
Guardian of mother earth, your beautiful wife,
You provide the food so that life may grow.
You pave the way for the seeds we may sow.
It is only you that creates the spark that leads to the fire,
Granting the chirping of the lark on such a grand spire.
Like sparse water in the wastelands, so dry,
You are a precious gem to all passersby.
So, breathe your generative breath and let soul ring true,
Once more, dear sun, so that I can live anew.
O humble servant of the cycle everlasting,
The majority takes for granted the gratuities you’re casting.
You, the most tenacious figure of all,
Must take any ill-judgement to withdraw.
Some, they shadow their faces and shield their eyes,
Those who can’t grasp your glory, we despise.
The ones who do not bow down and submit respect,
We scoff at them, as it is them, you will always resurrect.
Find nothing greater than my admiration for you,
Once more, dear sun, so that I can live anew.
