Description of Course: This is course three of three in the middle school science grade band. Over the course of the year, students will continue to engage in 21st century science and engineering practices to investigate real-world problems and scientific phenomena. Students work with visual models to build explanations for the phenomena. Students will apply their understanding of the traits and reproduction to investigate how traits are selected based on environmental pressures. They will then research evidence of this selection process from the past. They will also apply their understanding of energy transfer to investigate force and motion and Earth’s changing climate.
