Description of Course: Kindergarten social studies are taught throughout the school year following calendar events. School procedures and rules start our year off and we learn about many holidays and history as the year progresses. Through authentic texts and projects, students are exposed to US history, important people including past and current government leaders. Economic concepts and map skills are interwoven into other subject areas.
