Description of Course: The purpose of this course is to provide students with a basic understanding of statistics through a deeper investigation into the role statistics plays in the real-world. The course addresses: fundamental uses and misuses of statistics, exploratory data analysis, probability, uncertainty and randomness, one- and two- sample inference, one-way analysis of variance, regression and correlation, interpretation and communication of results. Use of the TI-84 Plus graphing calculator is integrated throughout the course.
