Description of Course: Precalculus is a rigorous course designed to prepare students for the study of Calculus. It consists of an extension of the concepts covered in Algebra 2, as well as an introduction to Trigonometry. Polynomial, exponential, logarithmic, and trigonometric functions are studied in this course. Trigonometric topics include the solution of trigonometric equations, identity manipulations, and transformation graphing, including work with amplitude, period, and phase shift.
