Description of Course: Students will engage in an intense and in-depth study of three major areas of biology: (1) The Molecular Basis of Life and Cells, including Biochemistry, Cells and Transformation of Energy; (2) The Principles and Theories of Genetics, including Molecular Genetics, Heredity and Evolution; and (3) Organismal and Population Biology, including the Diversity and Characteristics of the Kingdoms, Principles of Ecology, and the Interrelationships of Living Things.
