Description of Course:
Accounting 1 provides entry-level job skills and preparation for collegiate study in the field of accounting and/or business. Students receive hands-on experience learning the basic tasks involved with the accounting cycle. Learning these tasks allow students to demonstrate the ability to prepare journals, ledgers, and financial statements for two types of businesses: service and merchandising. Students will learn how to analyze and interpret basic financial information. Students will also explore career path options that utilize accounting skills.
