Jefferson Academy is committed to helping students attain their highest academic and character potential through an academically rigorous, content-rich educational program. As a function of this, I have committed to spending two full days every week in classrooms in order to connect and support student needs and help improve the teaching and learning that happens on a daily basis.

Therefore, I may not always be immediately available to speak with you by phone or if you drop by the school. Soccer Playoffs

Congratulations to our high school boys soccer team for advancing to the next round of playoffs. They will face Steamboat Springs at home on Tuesday, November 5th at 5:30pm.  Come out and show these boys your support. Admission prices are as follows: Adults-$7.00, Students & Seniors-$5.00, Children under four are free. Metro passes are accepted as well as CHSAA and CHSCA passes. Good luck Jags!

JH Girls Basketball Tryouts

Tryouts for 3rd quarter junior high girls basketball tryouts will be held on November 6th and 7th; 3:30-5:00pm in the aux gym. These tryouts are open to any 7th or 8th grade girl interested in playing basketball during the 3rd quarter. Please come dressed and ready to play. 

High School Basketball

Practice will officially start on November 18th. If you are planning on playing, now is the time to make sure your sports physical is up to date. Registration will open on November 4th at noon. Please reach out to the athletic department with any questions.

National Letter of Intent

Have you already committed to a college to play a sport at the next level? Our NLI day is coming up next month and will be held on November 13th. Please share your information with the athletic department so we can help celebrate you and your success.

Financial Aid Information Night - Wednesday, November 13th, 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Do you have questions about the financial aid process? Please join us on Wednesday, November 13th via Zoom.  Lesa Briggs, a financial aid educator, will lead a financial aid/FAFSA presentation and will be able to assist with any questions you may have.  This event is recommended for families and students in the Class of 2025. Reminder: FAFSA will open on December 1.

Tissue Donations Needed 

It's that time of year!  We have lots of noses running and our tissue supply is quickly being used up.  If you are able to donate boxes of tissue to the school, please drop them off in the main office at the school.

JA Prospective Family Night - November 19th

Do you know a family interested in attending JA Secondary next year?  Tell them to attend our annual Prospective Family Night on Tuesday, November 19th!  This is an open house from 5:30 to 7:00 pm and a great opportunity for families interested in JA to come tour the school, meet students and staff and learn all that JA has to offer!
