PRINCIPAL NOTES

FacebookInstagram

JA is so proud to offer a wide range of clubs that cater to various interests and passions of our students. From academic pursuits like the Math and Science Club to National Honor Society or creative outlets such as the Art, Chess and Knit & Crochete Club, we strive to provide a well-rounded experience for every student. Our school boasts clubs focusing on community service, leadership development, and cultural awareness, ensuring that there is something for everyone. Just this week, gaming club, key club, volleyball club and tonight TriM's Open Mic night enriched students. No matter your kids interest we believe there is a space for them in one of our 25 clubs or honor societies.

We encourage your child to explore these opportunities, fostering personal growth and forging lasting connections. We believe that involvement in clubs not only enhances academic experiences but also contributes to the overall development of our students.
Our goal is that every individual at JA, can find a group of peers to feel a sense of belonging that is so valuable to their academic success as well.

Adults can get involved as JA as well. Board of Directors elections are just around the corner and there are three open positions. Candidate letters will be accepted until April 23rd. You can bring yours by the office or email to avartanova@jajags.com.

STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES

Do You Speak a Foreign Language?

For the 2024-2025 school year, we are looking for volunteers who feel comfortable having casual conversations in American Sign Language, Chinese, French, German or Latin. To improve the learning experience for those students enrolled in our online world language class options, volunteers would meet with students once a week to dialogue in that language to help students practice and engage in the content more consistently. Interested? Email Ms. Adams, kadams@jajags.com.

Financial Aid Information Session (Virtual)

HEALTH

Healthy School Days

This week we will be recognizing Eat the Rainbow Week promoting healthy eating habits and bringing awareness of how different colored fruits and vegetables contain essential vitamins, minerals and nutrients that our bodies need. Our kitchen staff continues to take such great care of our students during the school day nourishing them to be able to be at their best until dismissal. This week they will educate students as well during lunch hours. You can also connect with your child at home with healthy eating information we will have posted throughout the school at your own dinner table or watch this video to learn more.

9 Common Childhood Illnesses

From stomach bugs to roseola, some sicknesses are bound to happen at some point during school years. But as a parent or caregiver, it can be hard to identify what these conditions are, or when you should ask for help. Plus, many sicknesses can have overlapping symptoms, making it hard to differentiate what illness your child may have. Feel free to read more about childhood illnesses.
