It is finally starting to look like summer with some 90 degree days and much less rain than we had when summer began. We are gearing up for the start of a new school year here at JA and look forward to welcoming our returning students in addition to meeting all of our new families very soon.
During this exciting time of year we are busy prepping and developing extraordinary experiences for your children. Part of that planning has been adding new staff members to our team. We are excited to announce the addition of Malia Wildman; who will be teaching Language Arts, Addison Swaney; Science, Vince Porreco; Physical Education, Jacob Meska; Band, and Ellen Moyer who will be our Math Interventionist.
Just one of the many reasons that JA is such an extraordinary school is the community we are all a part of. We are asking that your family takes a moment to share your skills, needs, volunteer ideas and some of the talents that exist within our community that can enrich the student experience. We know how amazing for families are and want to connect with them in and out of school

Please join us at one of the sessions!

Families are still encouraged to complete the meal benefits application for inclusion in other school resources. Meals will begin to be served on August 16th. JA is looking for a staff member to join our team in the kitchen. The position is 7 hours during the school day, so a great opportunity for a parent in our community. Interested applicants can reach out to Shelby Foelsch in Food & Nutrition Services.
WE ARE A BRING-YOUR-OWN-DEVICE SCHOOL All students are expected to bring an internet enabled device with a keyboard to class each day. Many teachers will use a combination approach to instruction in which both traditional paper-based and online activities are utilized. Students will often use their devices during class to complete and submit their assignments. For security purposes, we require students to register their device each year in order to access our filtered internet service. For more information about the requirements for a device, please visit our website or click on the link: Bring Your Own Device Info.
