Just a reminder, that Thanksgiving Break is coming up the Week of November 25-November 29. Spend time with family and friends and get lots of rest Jags!
With Thanksgiving break upon us, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude to the JA community. Our students, staff, and families are what make JA such a great school, and together, we create a community where students can attain their highest academic and character potential. I am thankful for our students' effort and grit so far this year, as well as our staff's dedication and passion. I hope this Thanksgiving brings you time to rest, connect with loved ones, and watch some football....or futball depending on your interests.
With me requesting that our staff step away for the extended break, I want to remind you to reach out to teachers by Wednesday evening, Nov. 20th, with any needs you may have so they can get back to you in a timely manner before our week off.
Congratulations to our boys for making it to the finals at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.
Know a business that would like to sponsor the JA Athletic department and our athletes? Sponsorships start as low as $500 for a full school year of advertising either in our gym, along the fence line or on team rosters. Reach out to Mr. Q for details.
Key Club is collecting gently used or new winter clothes and hygiene items for those individuals less fortunate this holiday season. The organization we are partnering with is Colorado Friendship. Donations will be collected in students' A block classes and the class with the most donations will win breakfast!

Warren Tech Information & Open House
What is Warren Tech? It is the designated Career and Technical education center for Jeffco that offers 36 innovative programs. Students work with experienced faculty and industry partners to engage in real-world professional projects, internships, and apprenticeships. Every Warren Tech student is taught Post-Secondary Workforce Readiness skills, and students can earn college credit and industry certifications.
Juniors and seniors would attend Warren Tech Central, North or South (depending on your program) for half the day and JA for the other half. Most credits earned at Warren Tech count toward graduation elective credits. For exceptions, see Ms. LeValley.
Interested in learning more about attending Warren Tech next year (2025-2026 school year)? Please attend the Open House on December 4, 2024, 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., at each of the Warren Tech Campuses. No registration is required. The Open House is a great way to experience Warren Tech as a potential student, and it is highly recommended! This is a self-guided experience, but there are informational presentations throughout the evening.
Do you know a family interested in attending JA Secondary next year? Tell them to attend our annual Prospective Family Night on Tuesday, November 19th! This is an open house from 5:30 to 7:00 pm and a great opportunity for families interested in JA to come tour the school, meet students and staff and learn all that JA has to offer!
Finals for all students happen on Thursday, December 19th and December 20th. Both days are early release days and there are no First Period classes these days. Students need to leave or be picked up as soon as possible after their last final each day. Per JA Policy, early finals will not be scheduled. If your student misses their final, they must contact their teachers and schedule a time on Monday, January 6th to make them up.

We need mostly the basic pieces, not the specialized ones, but we are willing to sort and rehome those for you, too, if you're in the process of downsizing your collection!
