The Secondary campus is still working through the Infinite Campus system issues. The administration team at Secondary has worked extremely hard to rebuild all schedules for our 7th and 8th grade students, which will be open on Monday, August 12th at Noon. If junior high students accessed their schedule before August 1st, it may look different on Monday. This is because our counselors and administration team went back to all original student schedule requests and had to manually rebuild each student's schedule, which may have shifted or changed some classes for students.
Should any student see an error or want to try to make a schedule change for the first quarter/semester:
7th-9th graders can email Ms. Adams: kadams@jajags.com
10th-12th graders can email Ms. LeValley: alevalley@jajags.com
Changes are made first come, first serve, and are subject to class availability.

The Student Fee portion of the system is still not working properly and we are continuing to work with the district on those repairs. We will communicate with families when fees are open and you are able to pay them. Consequently, our Registration Deadline has been extended to August 16th for all families.
The first day of school for all students at Jefferson Academy will be on August 14th. There will be no First period classes on August 14th and students will attend shortened classes. Students will be dismissed at 11:30 a.m. The daily schedule for the 14th is here.
Secondary's Attendance procedures have changed. You can now report all absences online!
Parents will log into their Infinite Campus Parent Portal account and hit the Absence Request button, or go to the secondary website and click on the Attendance link. If you are wanting to pick up your student early, please call the office or leave a message for one of the office staff. Click HERE for instructions.
Both breakfast and lunch will be provided free to all JA students this year. Families that are eligible for free and reduced lunch, however, should still complete the Student Benefits Application to receive free access to other district programs and services. Previously called the "Free and Reduced Lunch form" or "Meal Benefits Application," it can be found on the district website and submitted electronically before the school year begins.
Student IDs
Student ID's from the previous school year can be used for meals until new cards are given out after this year's picture day. Please remind your student to bring their student ID for the fastest check-out.
Families who have previously restricted additional purchases for their students during meal times will need to renew them for this school year. You can do so at School Cafe. This process needs to be completed annually to let the kitchen know any items or spending limits you would like to set.
Students may be dropped off as early as 7:30a.m. (7:15 a.m. for First Period classes). Students may remain on campus after school when they are waiting for an activity or practice to begin or have an appointment to meet with their teachers. Students who are disruptive, destructive, or disrespectful will not be allowed to remain on campus outside of school hours.
Click HERE for the traffic pattern. If you would like to bypass the parking lot for dropoff and pickup, families may park along the street where there is a bike lane. Please do NOT use the parking lots of surrounding businesses as a meeting point (you could be ticketed). Please follow the directions of the staff members in yellow vests outside directing traffic and observe all traffic laws. Please practice patience in the first few days, understanding that we are all learning again.
Please enter the parking lot ONLY at the four-way stop. Do not use the entrance close to the front of the school.
Please drive along and line up using the perimeter of the ENTIRE parking lot. This keeps our traffic from backing up onto 112th Ave.
Please pull as far forward as you can (even past the front door or even past your student) when picking up or dropping off your student. This will allow traffic to queue in our parking lot rather than on the street.
Please refrain from speeding past other cars in line in order to escape the traffic. This endangers our students who walk as well as other cars who may be moving.
Students may be dropped off and picked up along any part of the sidewalk. They will be safe to walk a few more feet on the sidewalk to get to the front door.
If your student attended JA Elementary last year, their Elementary jajags account will be deleted on August 14th. Their new Secondary Google accounts are now active. Their new account is their full name @jajags.com. For example, John Smith would be john.smith@jajags.com. The password for your account is their last name capitalized and student id. For example, if John Smith has a student ID of 1234567 then his password is Smith1234567 Remove any spaces in names but leave hyphens. 6th grade email accounts were sent this information on August 2nd and the email contained directions to move any files students might want to keep. Check with your student concerning this information. Login information can also be found on our website at secondary.jajags.com under Students -> Links for Login.
School picture day is coming on Thursday, August 15th. Students will have their photo taken during the day. You can pre order packages today on mylifetouch.com using your Student's ID number or Picture Day ID: RNBJ9GTVE.
