PRINCIPAL NOTES
As we get to the end of the school year, now is a great time to be checking in with kids on deadlines and coursework. Our finals are just three weeks away and many big projects are on tap from now until then. Finals will be the mornings of both Tuesday, May 21 and Wednesday, May 22nd. At JA Secondary, it is our practice to not offer early finals. If your child misses any of their scheduled finals, they need to contact their teachers to set up a make-up final on Friday, May 24th, the day after high school graduation. There will be no school on that Thursday, May 23rd, as all staff will be attending the ceremony.
ATHLETICS
Athletic Celebration BBQ
Please join us on Monday, May 6th to celebrate all of our athletes and teams this school year. Come grab a hot dog and hang out with other athletes and families.

STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES
Tips for the final weeks of school
Students should be spending time with teachers before or after school as frequently as possible.
All homework/classwork needs to be turned in on time for the remainder of the semester to earn full credit and recover previous low grades.
If there are missing assignments listed in Canvas that can still be turned in for credit, students need to get these completed and turned in to teachers as soon as possible to recover any potential credit.
Many teachers will have study sessions or study guides leading up to final exams. Students should be attending each study session and completing all study guides.
