The Holiday Care Package program

If you are a family that is experiencing hardship and would like to request assistance through the Holiday Care Package program, please complete this request form by November 15th. The program is open to all JA families that could use some help with gifts or immediate needs such as bills. While we cannot guarantee that every request is met, we will work tirelessly to get as many requests filled as possible.

PRINCIPAL NOTES

I want to express my appreciation for our communities continued support with late start days the first Wednesday of each month. Our teachers use this time to meet together to refine instructional practices, look at student data and detemine the rigor that needs to be taught for student success. We recognize this is an impact on families, but please know the morning does not go to waste as teacher teams who are unable to meet on traditional school days, due to class schedules, have dedicated, focused time together to make JA even better than it already is.

In the past month it was amazing to see our seniors complete their senior seminar presentations which they put such a great deal of time and effort into researching career field and problems of study. Senior Seminar is just one of the wonderful opportunities that JA provides to prepare our students for post-secondary plans. We are also appreciative of our families who volunteered their time to observe presentations and those who connected our students with employers to provide real-life experience to our students. Many of our students completed internships to get a better understanding of their career field. Additionally, families have relayed scholarship opportunities for a variety of fields including:

Engineering:

Architecture:

If you are a part of a professional organization that might have scholarship opportunities or an employer who might be interested in allowing a student whose career path matches your company's, please reach out to Angela LeValley at alevalley@jajags.com.
