Maths

On this page, you will find ideas that support the 'Maths' aspects of the Mathematics & numeracy AOLE.

The examples here are ideas of how technology could be used. This is not an extensive list of ways teachers can use technology to enhance their teaching, but an introduction to how some apps could be used.

Adobe Express

Learners could create videos, posters or web pages on what they are learning in class.

Activities could include creating infographics, social media tutorial posts or videos.

An understanding of a learner's maths can be gauged from them explaining how they have solved a question and the steps/processes they have gone through.

Google/Office365

Learners could use a word processor to create procedural write-ups of how to complete a question.

Learners could create a presentation on what they have learnt about, these could then be recorded using a Screen recorder.

These presentations can be recorded by the creator, to do this effectively they can write scripts to support their videos.

Learners can make use of spreadsheets within their maths work.

Learners can use databases and spreadsheets to record their data, this can be used to analyse and identify trends.

Minecraft for Education

Learners can complete the Maths worlds to develop their understanding of the application of maths, and coding.
