Digital meeting 1/2/24
There is a need for clusters of schools to identify the digital skills they would like their learners to leave year 6 with.
This will support schools in understanding how they reach these skills in the primary setting.
And allow parity in the skills learners are moving to secondary school with.
Using e-portfolios, learners can document their understanding of what they have learnt through reflection.
Using the Four Purposes as a reflection point will also allow learners to understand how the tasks set in class support their development of the characteristics of the 4P's.
Schools can use this spreadsheet as a guide to the cost of replacing their devices. This will support the Headteacher, in understanding the amount needed to save to continue with their current device deployment.
By sharing examples of good practices in your school I will look to collate these, to allow teachers to gain a better understanding of how digital skills are being applied in our Flintshire schools.

Hwb have just published details of six new Hwb Presents sessions, three with Adobe and three with Just2easy between now and the end of the academic year. Some of the sessions, like the first with Adobe on 26 February aimed at those delivering Welsh Baccalaureate, are quite specific in their scope so we would really appreciate both general promotion of the sessions to your networks and channels, but also some more specific and targeted promotion based on the target audience of the individual sessions.
