Google Admin
Through the Google Admin console schools can manage additional Apps from the Google Play store, and add new Apps to their Chromebooks.
To access the Google Admin console you must be your school's 'Digital Champion' on the Hwb platform
log into your Hwbcymru account
Open your Google Drive
Open the Admin console (Bottom left)
Then select:
Open the Devices dropdown
Open the Chrome dropdown
Open Apps & extensions dropdown
Select Users & browsers
Open the 'ADD' tab in the bottom right
Select the Google Play Store
Search for and add the apps needed e.g.
Minecraft for Education
Sphero Edu etc.
I have always repeated this process in the 'Staff' and 'Students' sections.
To support learner access the installation policy can be set to 'Force install + pin to ChromeOS taskbar'
Open the ADDITIONAL SETTINGS
Ensure that the settings to allow applications to be installed on supported Chrome devices is set to Allow
