J2blast to support Assessment
J2blast has several 'games' that learners can play to improve their spelling and timestables. These 'games' allow teachers to track the performance of learners while playing.
These games also assess the learners and will alter the level of the 'game' according to the learner's performance.
Learners can choose from:
Spell blast
TT blast
or
SATs practice (England)
Spell blast
Spell blast homepage, shows learners their standings, against their classmates/school/world.
They can then choose between 'Have a practice' and 'GoLive'.
During the practice sets, learners can select the level they want to practice.
These are the levels they will progress through as they play live.
When playing Live, the word will be spoken to the learner and they use the letters on the screen to spell the word.
The quicker they answer the more progress their ship makes.
Teachers can collect data by the week/month/year the learners have played.
They are also able to see individual data on:
the number of spellings correct
their accuracy in spelling
the number of words attempted
the points
the misspelt words
