History

On this page, you will find ideas that support the 'History' aspects of the Humanities AOLE. 

The examples here are ideas of how technology could be used. This is not an extensive list of ways teachers can use technology to enhance their teaching, but an introduction to how some apps could be used. 

Adobe Express

Learners could create videos, posters or web pages on what they are learning in class.

Activities could include creating infographics, social media tutorial posts or videos. 

Learners can write up their historical research by creating these, they will need to plan how they are going to complete this work, as they may need to take pictures or videos to support their creations. 

Google/Office365

Learners could use a word processor to create write-ups of research they have conducted on a historical event or artefact.

Learners could create a presentation on a historical event or about artefacts they have researched.  

Learners can make use of spreadsheets to make comparisons on historical events; looking at world wars and the number of people involved. Comparing the number of people within Empires. 

They could be used to create timelines where learners can add 

Minecraft for Education

Learners can make use of the Historical worlds to allow learners to create their museums or conduct research using the worlds that have been created.
