Welcome to another newsletter, almost the last one for this year! With Christmas approaching, everyone is working hard to make sure we get through the festivities together.
This week you'll read about the OPS-tech team and an update regarding the lockers.

Production Updates
WMS 2.0
In preparation for the wms 2.0 pilot launch in the nordics (q1 2024). Edwin has visited the moss and bjuv DCs to demo the current developed wms 2.0, and to gather direct feedback from the market. Of course the visit would not be complete without saying hi to Ibtissam and Victor.
OPS-Tech bi-weekly sprint recap update
Past week we finalized the waste tool to also include GreenChef. GreenChef waste can now follow the same proces as HelloFresh, with its own place in the corresponding tableau dashboards. Work continued on the Kanban application; which now has initial versions for Expedition, inbounding and splitting. We also created a tool that combines the several ritlijsten pdfs used by ops-support into one big pdf, saving them 1.5 hours of printing time per day. Lastly, the business owners started reviewing the tools for material planning and production planning, to create better versions in 2024. Due to more effort needed for the ops-support pdf tool, we moved our work planned for Xmas to the next sprint.
The coming two weeks will focus mainly on Christmas. Furthermore, we will combine the several "namenlijsten" excel tools into one python tool. Lastly, we will move a number of sourcefiles used in the Weekoverview of Material planning to DWH instead of local excel sheets.
These last weeks the focus is (1) on Christmas and the holiday scheduling and (2) on reaching our domain health score OKR. If not critical we will not pick up any new requests for 2023.

Network Maintenance
Wednesday December 6th ±9:30/10:00 there will be maintenance on the network after production. During this maintenance we will replace the current routers/firewalls for the new standard used within fulfillment center IT. Because of improved configuration management from our full team independent of the region they are in, and improved security. When the hardware is changed, the internet connection will be limited/not available for ±30/60 minutes.
This moment was chosen because we have 2 days to resolve problems if they arise. Our request is also: If you use internet/wifi for a process within production, please test this on Wednesday/Thursday, if something unexpectedly goes wrong, we can fix it before production starts.
We will share a message in the whatsapp group when the maintenance starts and when the connection is restored again. Firstly we will enable the office Wifi and the Google-meet network.

Locker maintenance
The facility team has worked hard to replace and renew all production lockers. Every one of the lockers has been given a new number and the batteries are also replaced. In the beginning of the new year, we will clean all of the lockers. After the big cleaning, all new numbers will be used and the old numbers will be erased. We will make sure that everyone is informed in time about the cleaning, so there is no rush in cleaning out your locker. Please make sure that you know about the new numbers and that you do not store your personal stuff in the lockers while cleaning!
X-MAS MARKET
As already shared with you in our newsletter from last week, we will organize a X-mas market on the 20th of December. You can pick up your HelloFresh Christmas gift, enjoy some nice winter food, bring your children to meet Santa Claus and last but not least - have some fun with colleagues!
