Production updates
Update Clean Connect project
Midway through last year, we started the Clean Connect project!
Purpose of the of project:
Reduce the cost of damage to material handling.
We started by cleaning up and organizing the Linde Connect system.
We did this by reclassifying all employees. And giving everyone access to a limited number of vehicles.
Colleagues without certification no longer have access to lift and reach trucks.
Colleagues with an expired certificate will be recertified.
By implementing these changes, there has been a significant reduction in repair and damage costs.
Next step(s):
To continue to properly monitor the condition of the material handling and use of the trucks, we started Part 2 of the project.
We have now been running a pilot with the IT team with the Linde Pre-op check for several weeks.
Before the start of the shift, a questionnaire must be completed. The moment any abuses are discovered on the truck, a picture will be taken here.
On the one hand, this will mean that we can see earlier when and if something is wrong with a truck.
On the other hand, people will handle things better.
We are currently looking into the possibility of installing tablets in the charging areas.
Once the tablets are mounted, all the vehicles will be fitted with the pre-ops check.
Once preparations are complete, a short training session will be held with those directly involved. All teams involved will be notified of this by then.
As soon as more is known, I (Tim) will give another update on this.
New daily handover meeting
Today, we launched a new daily handover meeting, aligning with a Tier 3 format.
Each day, the Line Prep team will prepare a handover report detailing progress, which will be reviewed during a brief check-in between the IT Line Leads and the Kitting Team Leads. This handover is designed to support a smooth transition between shifts and promote effective information sharing.
In addition to daily updates, this process will establish a feedback loop, enabling both teams to share insights and continuously improve communication.
The overall goal of these meetings and reports is to enhance collaboration and streamline communication across departments.

Winner Sublime Award: our own Corné
Yesterday, our own Corné got the Sublime Award! This award is meant for an HF employee who has gone above and beyond last quarter, has been a true ambassador of our DNA values, and has a "can-do" attitude.
Congratulations, Corné — well deserved!

Bi-weekly update
Progress is moving quickly: we can already see the sprinklers being installed. While we were there, the freezer floor was being poured. In the photo, you can also spot the heating elements beneath the ground in the freezer area. These are there to prevent the floor from freezing and becoming slippery.
We also had the chance to go up to the mezzanine level, where the offices and canteen will be located. This is also the level where the skywalk will run through the entire production hall, and as you can see from the photos, it’s already giving us a great preview of the final layout.
From this height, we also got a good view of the docks, which are clearly taking shape and starting to define the flow of the inbound area.
We even got to go up on the roof! Half of the building is now covered, and they’ve started working on the steel structure for the other half. Over the next six weeks, the steel construction and roofing for the remaining section will be completed.
It’s incredibly exciting to see the progress, it’s hard to believe that in just one year, we’ll already be producing here! 💚
Happy Birthday to.....
