Production updates
All Hands Q2 – Quick Recap
Last Last Monday and Tuesday, we had our Q2 All Hands sessions with a bunch of great presenters. We kicked things off with a quick look back at the past quarter, covering projects like WMS 2.0, the Sorting Line test, and Project Gogeta. We also mentioned the fun Circus summer event and our successful BRC certification.
As always, we checked in on our 0-10-1 performance. Good news—we’re still going strong and holding a top 3 spot in the global HF DC League!
The People team walked us through the results of the Engagement Survey, along with some planned actions and next steps. If you’re interested in getting more involved in making our workplace even better, don’t forget to fill out the form upstairs next to the HR mailbox.
We also got some updates from the BHV team on safety, LTIs, and a refresher on how to properly lift heavy boxes and crates (your back will thank you!).
To wrap things up, we watched a short video with a sneak peek of our new building, de Kas. Exciting stuff ahead!
De Kas - Interior design update
It has been a while since the last update, but a lot has happened in the meantime! Based on your votes on the three mood boards, we have now put together one new, combined mood board that fits well with all of your preferences.
Side Note: These images are not representations of the de Kas and only give an ambience that we want to implement in our own design.
In the coming period, we will talk to selected colleagues from all departments. That way, we will further map out all needs and together create an inspiring workplace that really suits all of us.
Based on this moodboard, we have also spent the past few weeks selecting different flooring en doors options for de Kas. A selection of samples and materials can already be seen in the second collage.
De Kas - VOTE
At HelloFresh, we are good at naming our meeting rooms in a food-related theme. So it couldn't be any different to do the same for de Kas.
For the large meeting rooms, we are still looking for a suitable theme or names to give. Last but not least, this name will also have an impact on how we decorate the meeting rooms for you!
So be creative and give HERE your input for names or themes we can use to make de Kas complete.
Our Bell Units will be named after Herbs & Spices to match the floor and wall colours we already chose for this particular rooms. So meet the: Pepper, Basil, Garlic, Chili, Saffron, Thyme, Turmeric, Parsley, Sage, Cinnamon & Salt.
Succesfull launch of touchless ordering!
In box week 29, we successfully rolled out the first 10 sku's (stock SH) for Touchless Ordering. Touchless ordering is an initiative that goes hand in hand with the rollout of the inventory planner. The inventory planner is a global tool that will replace the weekoverview in a few weeks' time. This tracks inventory and consumption.
The purpose of Touchless Ordering is that the tool itself will calculate how many products need to be ordered to get through the production day, the so-called Supplier Quantity Recommendation (SQR). The SQR takes into account the stock we have and the products we need. If we have a high stock, less will be ordered than if we have a lower stock. Previously, products were ordered without taking into account the stock we have. Rolling out Touchless Ordering is going to ensure that over-ordering goes down significantly and therefore so does waste. In the current box week, 10 additional sku's will follow from stock SH.
The full ramp up is going to last until box week 35, after which all suppliers will be included in this process. The successful launch of the Inventory Planner in BeNeLux will be followed by a launch in France and then the Nordics as part of the Conventional Cluster (Nexus).

HR Operations team update
We are happy to share an update from the HR Operations Bleiswijk team. Gwen Warning's title is changed per 1 July from 'senior HR specialist' to 'senior HR Business Partner Operations' to better reflect her scope and responsibilities. Urvashi Dhomeja ("Uru") will formally join the team as per 1 August as HR specialist. She will introduce herself in the next newsletter. Madhwi Khoenkhoen (our interim senior HR specialist) is out on holiday and will return on 6 August for 1 month to further support the team. With Maaike de Lange (junior HR specialist) the team is then at capacity and will continue to support the different teams in Bleiswijk!

We’re excited to announce the promotions that took place this Mid-Year! Please join us in congratulating all those who were promoted!
Eva - Promoted to Site QA Specialist (Mid-Level)
Since joining mid-July last year, Eva has shown impressive drive and growth within the quality department and HelloFresh. She quickly found her way within HelloFresh and the DC environment during her onboarding and has taken on several projects independently during the last months. Eva played a leading role in the Nexus related projects and workshops for FSQA and the WMS 2.0 implementation and helped shape the process for tracking and following up on SKU and Supplier non-conformances.
Jean Paul - Promoted to Expedition Employee (Mid-Level)
Since Jean-Paul (from now on JP) joined HelloFresh, he quickly learned the basics of Expedition. He's a great teamplayer and his flexibility helps out the team on many occasions. Because of his warm personality, I think there is no one at HelloFresh who doesn't like to have a conversation with JP. Thank you for all the hard work put in improving Expedition since you joined, this is a well deserved promotion!
Rhodé - Promoted to Facility Coördinator (Mid-Level)
As we all know, Rhodé has become a key link between HelloFresh and our facility operations. She’s grown quickly in both knowledge and responsibility, making a strong impact in a short time. So, without needing many words, we're happy to officially announce her well-deserved promotion to mid-level. Congratulations, Rhodé!
Melissa - Promoted to HSE Manager Benelux
I’m proud to share that as of July 1st, Melissa has been promoted to HSE Manager for the Benelux. In the relatively short time she has been with us, she has made a strong impression on me with her decisiveness, sharp insight, and eagerness to learn. Melissa has successfully taken on several concrete projects, both within our distribution centers and across the logistics branch. What stands out to me in particular is her ability to not only address HSE topics, but to ensure they are structurally embedded within the organization – which is essential for maintaining a safe and healthy working environment. Over the coming weeks, I will gradually hand over responsibilities to Melissa and support her in transitioning into this new role. As of August 1st, she will be part of both the PLT and LLT.

Max - Promoted to Systems Specialist (Mid-Level)
In the past months Max has contiously improved his technical and professional skills. A major achievement has been him leading 'Project Facelift', launching an end-to-end application that facilitates the daily printing process of our box labels, a critical piece of technology that also allowed our team to develop a ton of new skills
Guinio - Promoted to Systems Specialist (Senior-Level)
Guinio has been steadily growing in his responsibilities and skills over the years. With the grown scope and size of our team after Nexus, Guinio has shown great (personal and team) leadership skills over the past months. In this new role, Guinio will manage the day-to-day operations of our BNL team, and manage our recurring scrum cycles
Simon - Promoted to OpEx Analyst (Mid-Level)
Simon has been with HelloFresh for three years, beginning his journey as an Error Analyst in production. He quickly established himself as the go-to expert for error recategorization, developing deep expertise in the area. His transition to the Operational Excellence team was a natural next step, enabling him to leverage data-driven insights to help reduce error rates to their current level. Simon's expertise has been recognized across the entire cluster, and he now contributes at a broader scale as part of the end-to-end team supporting the full cluster.
NEW JOINER! Foteinos Gaitanakas
Hello everyone,
I'm Foteinos (you can call me Foti), and I joined the team this past Wednesday as the new Regional Workforce Staffing Lead. I'll be reporting to Sam Kalro.
I was born and raised in Greece, but I've spent most of my life living in the UK and the Netherlands. My career began as a lawyer approximately 10 years ago, before I transitioned into HR and Recruitment, primarily focusing on global markets. Here at HelloFresh, you'll likely find me in our offices and Distribution Centers across the Benelux, Nordics, and France.
Outside of work, my time is occupied with my 4-month-old Corgi, taking cooking classes, and exploring more of the Netherlands and the world.
